Since early childhood I envied anyone who could draw and paint, but I was convinced I could never do it. In my early thirties, however, a painter-friend gave me one oil painting lesson, along with some art supplies, and I was hooked. For the next few years I painted as often as I could, but before long other demands put my career on hold for over twenty years. Retirement came to my rescue with the time to take up pencil and brush once again, and once more I revel in all that Nature provides as subjects for my canvas. Primarily an oil landscape artist, I also enjoy portraits and landscapes in colored pencil.
Self-taught in the beginning, I am continuing my art education with classes and workshops.
