News & Notes
With no general meeting until after the new year, Exhibit Chair Norma Eaton requests that you call or e-mail her to fill the openings for Hanging Art Around Town. Also, the Solstice CafÃ© has closed and it is yet unknown whether the new restaurant is a site. Fidelity National Title is being considered as a new site. Norma requests that everyone fill out the sales survey even if there were no sales. E-mails are welcome and the responses confidential.
Dale Draeger will show current landscape paintings from December to mid-January in the dining room, open Mon.-Sat. at Bombâ€™s Away CafÃ© at 2527 Monroe in Corvallis.
Frances Stilwell is exhibiting oil and pastel paintings at Wildfire Restaurant through December and January.
Toni Acock was the featured artist at Samâ€™s Station last month and was juried into the “Something Red” show in Salem sponsored by Artists In Action. Toni says that she entered an egg tempera painting of red pears. An ongoing art walk in downtown Salem will include her work. The awards presentation will be on December 5 at 7 pm at the Reed Opera House in Salem.
Cherrill Boissonou found hers was the mystery name in last monthâ€™s newsletter, but donated the $10 prize back to the Art Guild fund. Thank you, Cherrill, for your gift.
Diane Hoff-Rome exhibits â€œImpressions of Peru and Belknap Hot Springsâ€ including fusion paintings, ink jet mono prints and a book of her Isle Skye poems at Pegasus Gallery in Corvallis through December. She will answer questions about her art or poetry at a reception all day Saturday, December 15 or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tom Allen says â€œhelloâ€ from Arizona after leading a paint out Nov.20 and will be giving an acrylic watercolor demo Dec. 13, a workshop Dec. 19-20 followed by more paint outs every Tuesday for the Santa Rita Art League in Green Valley. Happy painting, Tom. See you in May.

New 2007-2008 Membership Directory
Membership Chair Gretchen Bencene is preparing the directory for printing. Check your label for paid-up-to-date dues. Some of you have not paid and will not be receiving any future newsletters or be listed in the member directory. Gretchen says that eight paid-up members have chosen to opt out of receiving a mailed newsletter, but will go to our web site at http://www.corvallisartguild.org to keep current with CAG.

Out & About
Janet Ekholm reports that The Art Centerâ€™s Annual Meeting is November 28, 5-7 pm. Food and drinks will be served by Nearly Normal. New officers, volunteer recognition and funding thanks to the Oregon Community Foundation along with the Winterlights Festival art sale are scheduled.
