This is a painting & critique class at the Benton County Museum during LBCC’s spring break on the following dates:
Wednesday – Saturday, March 23, 24, 25 & 26.
Limit is 10 students at $160 each. (8 SPACES STILL OPEN)A four-day intensive painting class with no homework.
Medium: any waterbase painting medium is welcome – acrylic, watercolor, casein, gouache, water-base oils…
We will paint in class, but previous paintings can be brought to class to work on and bring to completion. The course will encourage discovering how to proceed especially when you feel blocked and unsure of the next step. Each person will have a critique of their work daily, either in group or individually with instructor. There are general approaches to painting from beginning to completion of a painting. This course is about finding what procedures work best for you and learning to decide “What is the next step toward finishing this painting.”

Dancing in the Light
Dance the dance of life throughout your lifetime
Let your spirit soar like eagles dancing in the air
Lift your arms and embrace your day filled with love and light
Keep that skip in your step no matter what the gossips say Let your hair fly out behind you, swish and swirl, as it tickles your face
Live, laugh, throw back your head and breath in the joy of life
Give thanks to God every day for all that you have as you live, laugh, and thrive
