It is time for Philomath Open Studios!!! This is a really fun way to spend an afternoon (be sure to start early) and to see where the artist works, ask questions or pick up some amazing art work. Please consider this your invitation to come by our studios this weekend or next (November 13 & 14 or November 20 & 21) from 12:00 noon till 5:00 pm. The second annual Bounty of Benton County self-guided tour will occur Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 4, 5, and 6.
There are three locations that are requesting CAG members to consider setting up sales displays and/or painting on scene: Lumos Winery, Cardwell Hill Winery, and Dancing Oaks Nursery.
You may set up for one, two, or three days (no fee). All three locations allow the artist to keep 100% of sales. If you wish to make a 10% donation of sales to Bounty of Benton County, it would be appreciated. If you are interested in participating, please contact the locations directly to make arrangements.

The Benton County Historical Society has just posted the formal announcement for the upcoming Memory Of Place Exhibition.
We would like as many of our members to participate so please read the announcement and enter your best work related to the history of Linn and Benton County. Entry deadline is 15 March and the show is from 9 Apr till 29 May.

The OSU Women’s Center is proudly presenting our annual art show in the Memorial Union Concourse Gallery from January 30 to February 23. The public reception is February 4 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
This year’s theme is “She Flies With Her Own Wings” (the motto of the State of Oregon), which can be interpreted any way the artist likes.
All levels of experience and all art forms are welcomed – paintings, sculptures, quilts, apparel design, graphic designs, photographs, glass/wood/metal designs, etc. The RSVP deadline is now January 28th, which is also the art drop off date.
The show accepts:
- 2D art which is push-pin ready
- 3D art which is stable or light enough to suspend from the ceiling.
- Maximum size is 40” by 50” and maximum weight is 70 pounds.

LaVonne Tarbox-Crone will be featured in the Emerald Art Center‘s celebration of its 50th Anniversary on May 16, 2007.
Between now and Oct 21, Art Guild member Pam Van Londen is showing 38 acrylic and oil landscape and portrait paintings at the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis at 2945 NW Circle Blvd.
Join her for a reception at 12:30pm on Oct 5, 2008 in the UUFC Sanctuary.
Van Londen has been painting and drawing since she was 12 years old. The work hanging in the UUFC show is of her recent larger works on canvas. Most scenes are from her travels around the Pacific Northwest, California, and the Southwest.
She is part of a large group of artists known as Daily Painters, who paint very nearly every day. The daily paintings are typically between 5×7 and 8×8 on wood panels.
She has a BA in Art and an Interdisciplinary Masters degree from Western Oregon University and teachers Web Development and Women Studies courses at Oregon State University.
