Regardless of the subject, my paintings are portraits. I look for ways to communicate the inner beauty, delicacy and vibrancy of my subjects. Like so many other artists through the ages, I delight in the variety, colors, delicacy, and symbolism of flowers. I look for depth, nuances, and colors in shadows and edges, where I find hidden beauty and meaning.

I work in a variety of media, including watercolor, colored pencil, alcohol inks, and acrylics.
